Brooke Shields reveals plastic surgeon threw in ‘bonus’ vaginal procedure without her consent

The actress said that if it were to happen now, her reaction would have been much different

Brooke Shields called out her plastic surgeon for giving her an unwanted vaginal rejuvenation procedure, what he called a “bonus.”

The actress opens up about a lot in her coming memoir, “Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old: Thoughts on Aging as a Woman,” even apologizing in the book in advance for being “too graphic” for sharing details that may be “TMI” to some.

But in an effort to “change the way we approach and talk about women’s health,” Shields let it all hang out.

The 59-year-old told Us Weekly that her gynecologist recommended a labia reduction after learning the actress had long suffered from discomfort, bleeding and chafing due to the length of her labia.

“Of course, it’s not covered by insurance because it’s considered cosmetic, which is very interesting,” Shields told the magazine.

“The last time I did check, I did not want to be a porn star.”

Following the procedure, the surgeon shocked her by informing her he did more than what they discussed in her consultation.

“He informed me that he threw in a little bonus,” Shields told the magazine.

In a book excerpt obtained by People, she recounted the doc’s words.

“‘I was very detailed,’ he said, to my relief and excitement. And then: ‘I was in there for four hours, and you know what I did? I tightened you up a little bit! Gave you a little rejuvenation!’

Shields wrote that she was “shocked” and “speechless,” adding, “I can’t remember how I responded, or even if I said anything. Was I supposed to say thank you?”

The Mother of the Bride actress told Us, “It felt like such an invasion — such a bizarre, like, rape of some kind.”

She added: “Nothing pointed toward this need to be tighter or smaller or firmer or younger, especially there.”

In her book, she wrote: “He acted as if he’d done me a favour, and that I should, in fact, be grateful. There was a real ‘I threw this in for free, little lady’ vibe to his delivery. But I had never asked to be ‘tightened’ or ‘rejuvenated’ (translation: given a younger vagina). I felt numb.”

Shields revealed that she took no legal action against the surgeon due to shame — and despite being unhappy with the results ever since.

“I can’t be bothered to change anything now, but once I was healed, I definitely noticed a difference in my body, and not a good one,” the Suddenly Susan alum wrote.

“Maybe if I was someone who was obsessed with sex I’d have been happy for the ‘freebie,’ but I’d say my sex drive is pretty typical for a woman my age. I like intimacy, but I don’t need it every day. And the truth is, the procedure did not enhance my pleasure.”

She admitted that if it were to happen now, her reaction would have been much different.

“My sentiment is basically a giant middle finger. F*** that guy!,” she wrote. “He had no right to do what he did, and if it happened to me now, I would make my own blaring headline and blast it everywhere.”

Shields’ book hits stores on Tuesday.
