A Brampton man is wanted for attempted murder in connection with a stabbing last week that left the victim with serious injuries.

Peel Regional Police said that on Oct. 7 at about 2 p.m., officers responded to a call for a stabbing in Brampton.
“The victim was taken to a local hospital and later transported to a trauma centre with serious injuries,” police said in a news release issued on Sunday.
Investigators from the police’s Intimate Partner Violence unit identified the suspect as Vimal Mohan, 35, of Brampton, and have issued a warrant for his arrest.
Police describe Mohan as 5-foot-7 tall and about 145 pounds. He has long black hair, an unkempt beard and moustache, brown eyes, a light complexion, and a tattoo of a star on his neck.
Investigators are urging Mohan to seek legal counsel and to turn himself in.

Man sought in North York mischief probe
Toronto Police are appealing to the public to help identify a man accused of vandalizing a North York business in August.

The man is accused of spray-painting a symbol on the window of the business in the Finch Ave. W. and Weston Rd. area on Aug. 3 at around 1:13 p.m., cops said in a news release issued on Sunday
Police released three photos of the suspect, showing him wearing glasses, a brown vest, black pants, and dark shoes with red laces.

Man injured in early morning stabbing
Toronto Police said officers are investigating a stabbing early Sunday morning after a victim walked into a hospital with injuries.
In a post on X Sunday, cops said officers were notified of the incident just after midnight Sunday, though it’s unclear where the stabbing took place.
Police said the man’s injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.
No suspect information has been released.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and asked anyone with information about the incident to contact them at 416-808-4300.
