Borussia Dortmund ready to rival Tottenham with creative El Mala transfer plan

Borussia Dortmund could rival Tottenham for Said El Mala, with Express reporting that the Black and Yellows are preparing a creative transfer package aimed at signing the 1. FC Köln prodigy.

According to Sport Bild, Tottenham are weighing up a move for 1. FC Köln’s Said El Mala, while new rumours involving Borussia Dortmund have also emerged.

Citing information from Dortmund sources, the Express reports that the Black and Yellows are working on a “creative El Mala package”, which includes a €30 million transfer fee plus €5 million in bonuses, as well as a sell-on clause.

A key condition would be the sale of Karim Adeyemi this summer, a year before the end of his contract.

However, whether 1. FC Köln would accept such a structure remains highly questionable, especially as the club’s financial director, Philipp Türoff, recently made it clear that they will not move away from their €50 million valuation.

Just a few days ago, the Express claimed that TSG Hoffenheim were close to signing El Mala, but the Sinsheim-based club have since dismissed the rumour.
