Beau DeMayo has found himself in a heap of trouble as the writer’s issues with Disney have escalated. After being ousted from X-Men ’97 just days before the premier of the show, there were a lot of speculations about the nature of his exit from the House of Mouse.

Ever since the situation has escalated in the public eye, there is a section of DeMayo’s supporters who want him to migrate to DC, and use his skills to get a Batman animated series off the ground. However, DeMayo has allegedly responded to the suggestion, saying that he needs to clear his name first.

Earlier this month, it was revealed that Dinsey had conducted an internal investigation into Beau DeMayo’s behavior, and due to the “egregious nature” of the findings, had decided to terminate DeMayo’s contract. He was set to receive credit for the work that he did for Season 1 and Season 2 of X-Men ’97, but his credit for Season 2 was stripped after the actor allegedly breached a contract with Disney, as reported by Variety.

The breach was embodied in a post that DeMayo made to his Instagram account, which had fan art of him as a shirtless Cyclops, which was cause enough for him to be stripped of his credit in the upcoming season of X-Men ’97.

DeMayo posted a video to his non-explicit OnlyFans account, defending himself and saving that Disney accusations were false and that instead there was a pattern in the company of “prejudicial misconduct” that went all the way to the top of Marvel Studios.

Even if Beau DeMayo is innocent, does DC need another Batman animated series?

Beau DeMayo‘s innocence is far from confirmed right now, but it is clear that Disney might not be keen on hiring the writer again anytime soon. If the writer were to go over to DC to work on any project, it might be in the company’s best interest to focus on more characters than just Batman. The character is immensely popular with fans, but it seems that DC has lately focused all its creative forces on Batman and the cast of characters that surround him.

Instead, Beau Demayo could make a Teen Titans animated series, or even do some great work with the New Gods. The actor has worked on Moon Knight as well, which might make a better case for him working on Batman, but there are a slew of other DC characters that would benefit from Beau DeMayo’s storytelling prowess, such as Wonder Woman, Alan Scott Green Lantern and The New Gods.
