Bayern eye Premier League winger as top target

FC Bayern are reportedly setting their sights on Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to reports from Sky Germany, the Bundesliga giants are keen to secure the services of the England international, who has emerged as a leading candidate to strengthen their attacking options.

Gordon is understood to be Bayern’s top target to either provide competition for, or act as an alternative to, Luis Díaz. The club are actively searching for a high-quality, versatile attacker capable of operating primarily on the left flank while also offering flexibility across the forward line - a profile Gordon is believed to fit.

It is reported that the player has already been informed of Bayern’s interest, with initial talks having taken place. However, there has been no direct contact between the clubs at this stage, and Newcastle are keen to retain the 25-year-old beyond the summer.

Should negotiations progress, Bayern are said to expect that any potential deal would require a fee of at least €60 million. The German champions are also believed to be assessing alternative options should a move for Gordon fail to materialise.
