Now, the 20-year-old son of President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump is said to be officially in a relationship with a young woman at New York University.

The couple has reportedly been dating for over a year now, with the romance update offering a rare glimpse into a part of Barron Trump’s life he has largely kept private.

According to Hello! Magazine, Barron was accompanied by security throughout the day and used less visible entrances when moving in and out of buildings.

Kaya Walker, who was the then-president of the NYU College Republicans, described Barron as an “oddity” on campus during a 2025 interview. She detailed his routine simply as, “goes to class, he goes home.”

Some classmates nevertheless tried to include him in activities. Students said Barron had been invited to basketball games, which he never showed up for. This experience showed how complicated and unusual Barron’s college life is.

“It’s very understood that guests don’t bother Barron or anyone around him,” one source said.

Melania is also said to pay close attention to how her son is portrayed publicly, with an insider noting that she “definitely protects her son against anyone taking videos or shots of him that would put him at a disadvantage or portray him in a bad way.”

The protected environment surrounding Barron may help explain why so little about his life is exposed to the public.

Public filings identified Barron as a director of the company alongside other stakeholders. The business raised $1 million through a private placement, while one of its founders described the venture as a “lifestyle beverage brand built around clean + functional ingredients.”

His business ambitions had already been in progress silently before eventually making it to the public.

“Barron has been actively working on his own financial interests and has spent time with others who he is involved with in that area,” a source said.

The beverage company is not Barron’s first connection to business, as he was previously involved in a real estate venture in 2024. He is also listed as a co-founder of the Trump family’s World Liberty Financial cryptocurrency company.

Between college and his expanding professional interests, he appears to be quietly establishing a career of his own, while continuing to keep much of his personal life away from public view.
