Barcelona are reportedly taking a adjacent involvement successful Jordan Arnolin, but the Estoril centre-back is besides attracting attraction successful France and the Premier League.

Barcelona are not lone looking to motion established players to fortify their defence. The Catalan club, leader successful LaLiga, are besides scouting young European talents, and according to Portuguese paper Record, they sent a typical to the Estadio bash Dragao connected Saturday to ticker 18-year-old Arnolin.

Why Jordan Arnolin fits the Barcelona plan

The involvement comes arsenic Barcelona person spent respective months trying to fortify their backmost line. The sporting section is moving connected respective profiles, with the purpose of uncovering a centre-back who tin springiness Hansi Flick much guarantees.

The sanction of Inter Milan stalwart Alessandro Bastoni has been mentioned insistently successful caller months, astir precocious by Sky Sports. The Italy planetary would beryllium an particularly costly operation, however, and Inter person nary crushed to marque his departure easy. Against that backdrop, a young subordinate with precocious imaginable is different way for the Barcelona hierarchy, and Arnolin fits that logic.

Lille and Brighton and Hove Albion besides watching

Barcelona volition person to contend with 2 different suitors. According to Record, Lille and Brighton and Hove Albion besides sent representatives to the Dragao to show the young Portuguese.

For Lille, the determination would acceptable a well-established recruitment argumentation of backing high-potential players who tin instrumentality a measurement up and summation successful value. The bluish French nine person regularly utilized that exemplary to bring successful players who are not yet good known to the wider public. Brighton are a acold stronger fiscal rival, with greater resources than Lille and their ain estimation for uncovering talent. Their quality to pull young players and connection them vulnerability successful the Premier League is different statement successful their favour.

Can Brighton bushed the Catalans?

Lille look a stiff challenge. Barcelona person a sporting and media propulsion that is unmatched, and adjacent though Arnolin would astir apt not locomotion consecutive into Flick’s starting line-up, joining the Catalan nine would beryllium hard for an 18-year-old to crook down.

Lille bash person 1 beardown statement successful playing time. With dense contention successful the Barcelona squad, peculiarly astatine centre-back, the young Portuguese could person to hold for first-team chances, portion a gradual way to the Lille archetypal squad looks easier to envisage.

The fiscal broadside remains a factor, too. Brighton person much country for manoeuvre, and Barcelona support sizeable economical spot and planetary appeal, contempt their well-known fund constraints. Lille volition astir apt person to trust connected their sporting task and their quality to enactment the defender’s progress.

Another constituent could complicate negotiations. Arnolin has conscionable signed his archetypal nonrecreational declaration with Estoril, moving until June 2029, truthful the nine are nether nary unit to sell. Lille person a paper to play, but they volition request to beryllium convincing to bushed 2 precise superior competitors.
