Seven sailings between Tsawwassen and Swartz Bay were cancelled on Tuesday after the Queen of New Westminster was pulled from service

B.C. Ferries has cancelled seven sailings between Victoria and the Lower Mainland on Tuesday due to a mechanical issue.
The Queen of New Westminster has been pulled from service due to a “mechanical difficulty,” said the ferry company in a service notice posted Tuesday morning.
The issue appears to have been discovered on the 6 a.m. sailing from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay. After the vessel docked at Swartz Bay and passengers disembarked, it travelled back to the Lower Mainland without passengers for repairs.
