Ariana Grande gives major career revelation at Golden Globe

Ariana Grande will be releasing more music as part of her Eternal Sunshine album the 31-year-old confirms as she attends the Golden Globes to celebrate her success in Wicked after starring as Galinda Upland in Jon M. Chu's film.

The Floridian singer showed off both her skills and range in the production that went on to earn $681m, based on The Wizard of Oz by Frank Baum, as she drew praise for her performance next to Cynthia Erivo and was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Globes.

Now buoyed by the reception in the movie, the Thank U Next singer will also look to build on a successful year in the music industry too, following the release of Eternal Sunshine in in March 2024. But she won't be back in the recording booth, so how does she plan to do it?

"[New music] is not something that I'm thinking about right now," Grande told reporters on the red carpet. "But there is something I made last year that will come out eventually.

"It's an attachment of Eternal Sunshine so that does exist. And that will be coming out at some point. But I'm not in the studio at the moment."

Fans naturally lost their minds at the news and flooded to X.com, formerly Twitter, to discuss the revelation of extra tracks for Eternal Sunshine, which scored five stars from Rolling Stone and was described as an "instant classic" by the outlet.

One user wrote, "F**k the Golden Globes, we're getting deluxe, we won girls and gays."

A second added, "'That'll coming out at some point' no ma we need the release date right now."

And a third commented, "OMG WE WONNNNN."

Will there be a Wicked 2?

The good news for fans who loved the film is they can expect a second helping titled Wicked: For Good, which will release on November 21, 2025 if all things go to plan.

It's possible the sequel could spool off into a franchise after Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holzman admitted to discussing other instalments, but stopped shy of calling them sequels to Wicked: For Good.
