The health agency said the affected products applies to all colour variations, trim options, burner configurations, and gas types of the freestanding dual fuel ranges.
They feature a gas cooktop compatible with either natural gas or liquid propane and are equipped with electric ovens.
“Consumers should immediately shut off the gas supply to the recalled product and contact AGA Rangemaster Limited to coordinate a free inspection and to obtain subsequent free repair as required,” Health Canada said in its recall notice.
Electric oven can still be used
The agency added that the electric oven sections of the ranges can still be used without any issues.
The affected products are AGA’s Mercury models with model numbers AMC48DF and AMC36DF, Elise models with model numbers AEL481DF and AEL361DF, and La Cornue’s CornuFe and Albertine models with model numbers LAC1 and LAC9 respectively.

The model, serial number and manufacturing date can be found on the rating plate located on the bottom panel under the storage drawer.
The agency said the affected units were manufactured between March 19, 2025 and July 24, 2026.
“Certain recalled range cookers may be missing a gas manifold testing component,” Health Canada said. “While not required for normal operation, the component is needed during installation pressure testing. If it is missing, gas can leak from the test port when connected to a gas supply, creating a fire hazard.”
The company reported that 261 units of the affected products, which were manufactured in the United Kingdom, were sold in Canada.
