Blue Box Season 2 earns fifth place because its hype is intimate rather than explosive. Taiki and Chinatsu’s slow-burn romance returns October 4, 2026, with Yumeka Goto joining the cast, promising fresh emotional complications. Telecom’s production lineage and the manga’s popularity give this sequel momentum, which is now being produced by Electric Circus. But that is precisely its ceiling: Blue Box is not reinventing its formula, and its stakes remain personal rather than cultural. Compared with the giants above, this is the season’s sweetest anticipation. Not its loudest. I expect plenty of squealing, but not the same seismic impact.

4 Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2 Takes Fans Back to Night City

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 lands at No. 4 because few sequels carry such creative credibility. 3 Black Clover Finally Returns With Season 2 After Five Years

Black Clover must prove its new seasonal approach can deliver consistently, while Dragon Ball’s legacy and The Apothecary Diaries’ momentum make those two harder to dethrone.

2 The Apothecary Diaries Season 3 Is Set for Fall 2026 Release

The Apothecary Diaries is the sneaky monster at No. 2. Season 3 begins in October 2026 as a split cour, with its second half following in April 2027, and the movie arriving in December. Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is my No. 1 because this is not merely another sequel. It is Dragon Ball reopening the vault. Premiering in Fall 2026, Toei’s enhanced edition rebuilds the Beerus story with added and redrawn cuts, a reconstructed narrative, and upgraded battle presentation (via official site). Goku, Beerus, and Vegeta return to the spotlight, while it carries Akira Toriyama’s original story and character designs. The limitation is obvious: much of this story already exists. But nostalgia plus modernized spectacle is a dangerous combination. No other Fall 2026 return matches Dragon Ball’s generational reach.
