Promotion hopefuls Elversberg host an in-form Karlsruhe side at the start of matchday 30 in 2. Bundesliga.

Elversberg aim to get back into winning ways when they host Karlsruhe on Friday. Vincent Wagner’s side ended Elversberg’s six-game winless run in this fixture with a 3-2 victory in the Hinrunde. Felix Keidel’s injury-time strike was the decider after Karlsruhe came back twice to level the score.

However, last week’s defeat to ten-man Schalke meant Elversberg dropped outside the top three with only five rounds left to play. Karlsruhe are unbeaten at the BBBank Wildpark in 2026, but they have only picked up 13 points from 15 away games this season.

With the chance to play their game before the top three teams, Elversberg could reclaim their spot with a win over Christian Eichner’s side. Karlsruhe's coach is rumored to be taking over the reins at Union Berlin from the start of next season.
