Yuki Tabata debuted Asta, a magicless protagonist born in a world of wizards. Yet, that didn’t stop him from dreaming of becoming the next Wizard King. Unfortunately, he has to face way too many demons and evil people before he can reach his goal.

Yuki Tabata Can Make Black Clover Surpass Jujutsu Kaisen and My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia ended in August 2024 with the defeat of All For One and the League of Villains. However, in the aftermath of the war, Deku ended up losing his powers as well. The only saving grace was the united efforts of the Class 1A students. The final chapter hinted that despite losing One For All, Deku would be able to become a hero again. Fans consider the ending of My Hero Academia extremely rushed. Many did not like the fate that awaited Deku.

Class 1A saving up for new gear for Deku felt like a last-minute change to many. Some feel that Deku had served his purpose on the battlefield and should be able to live how he wanted, even if it was to instil dreams in the next generation.

Jujutsu Kaisen is also extremely near to its end and the absence of Gojo Satoru still hurts like a sore thumb. Apart from his absence, fans are also scared of even more characters unexpectedly dying in the manga. Yes, Sukuna is seemingly dead, and the threat seems to have receded, but Gege Akutami might pull another trick from his sleeve.

Yuki Tabata, on the other hand, is currently leading Black Clover towards an epic battle. So far, very few things seem out of place, and the battle against Lucius is as juicy as ever. Tabata is also unfolding all the mysteries in the manga one by one. Characters historically seen as bullies, like Nozel, Nebra and Solid Silva, are coming around to support the main characters in their time of need.

In the manga, Lucius Zogratis has made his appearance, and Asta and the magic knights are fighting the demon already. The Silva siblings, who have been nothing but major A-holes to Noelle, have united to empower her against the villain.

The distance between Asta and the throne of the Wizard King is shorter than ever because now he just needs to defeat Lucius and prove his worth. While the ending of My Hero Academia and Jujutsu Kaisen can be called rushed, there is no such possibility with Black Clover since its schedule has been changed to a quarterly publication. This will not only give Yuki Tabata enough rest, but it will also give him the creative freedom to follow whichever ending feels the best.

Yuki Tabata has always maintained a satisfying storyline in Black Clover. There have never been lingering pieces of injustice in its arcs, and fans enjoy reading the battle-oriented series, which has been consistent throughout the years. Fans hope that Tabata can continue his flair throughout the final arc and deliver an ending that will prove his mettle.
