Still, McIntyre kept finding openings at regular intervals to counter Rhodes’ attacks. However, The Chosen One’s decision to involve the WWE title in the match as a weapon in the match took a massive toll on himself.
After the referee got knocked down in the final part of the clash, McIntyre attempted to hit Rhodes with the title, which backfired on him. The American Nightmare hit McIntyre with a DDT on the WWE Championship. He ended the match in a few more seconds with a pinfall following a Cross Rhodes. The 40-year-old retained his WWE Championship once more.

Stratton walked out for the match with a heavily bandaged left knee, which compromised her ability to perform.
Despite having a few moments here and there, Buff Barbie got dominated by The Storm for most of the match. After several minutes of beatdown, Cargill subjected Stratton to a vicious Jaded and earned the pinfall. With this victory, Cargill began her maiden reign as the WWE Women’s Champion.

Dominik Mysterio with the Intercontinental Championship | Credits: WWEDominik Mysterio played a meager role in the opening match of Saturday Night’s Main Event despite walking in as the reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion. Instead, Rusev played the aggressor for the most part, subjecting Mysterio and Penta to a collection of vicious moves.
Penta also put out an incredible show of his luchador style with a collection of unique moves, including the Penta Driver in the final minutes of the match. However, Mysterio intelligently slipped out of the ring most of the time after absorbing Rusev’s moves, while Penta continued to get punished. Both Mysterio and Penta had their moments, but the Bulgarian dominated the match.
Late in the match, Rusev arrived close to victory as he locked in an Accolade. However, Mysterio made him break it by ringing the bell, which made him think he had won the match. After realizing his mistake, Rusev turned even more vicious and pulled Mysterio into the ring with the bell-hammer.
However, after some more chaos, Penta hit Rusev with the hammer while trying to attack Mysterio. With Rusev on the mat, Mysterio drove Penta into the ringpost, making him crash out of the ring. Dirty Dom then hit a frog-splash on the already compromised Rusev to earn the pinfall. He retained the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

CM Punk before delivering his finisher | Credits: WWECM Punk’s unfair defeat in the World Heavyweight Championship match at Clash In Paris enkindled the fire in him to grab the title at any cost. Well, the 46-year-old finally accomplished his goal at the November 1 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Punk and Uso both had their moments in the match, but The Best In The World stayed at the driver’s seat for most of it. Punk started the match strongly and subjected Uso to several vicious moves, including a few knees. The Yeet Master intelligently stepped out of the ring to avoid defeat on a few occasions.
After several minutes of tussling, the match turned into a battle of submissions after Uso locked in a sleeper hold on Punk. However, the 46-year-old reversed it and put Uso’s arm in an Anaconda Vise hold. This move significantly compromised Uso’s condition, allowing Punk to regain momentum once more. The Best In the World closed the show with a dual Go To Sleep and a pinfall, to become the World Heavyweight Champion for the fourth time.
