World Cup: Mexico host Harry Kane's England at the Azteca

Mexico and England face off for a place in the quarter-final of the World Cup.

England face Mexico in their first World Cup game at the Azteca since their Diego Maradona-inflicted defeat to Argentina four decades ago. FC Bayern's Harry Kane leads the line for the Three Lions as he hopes to close the gap with Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland in the race for Golden Boot.

Bayer Leverkusen’s defender Jarell Quansah is restored to the lineup after missing the late win against Congo DR. England's coach Thomas Tuchel is the only German left in the competition after Julian Nagelsmann's Germany and Ralf Rangnick's Austria were eliminated in the Round of 32.

Mexico are hoping to reach the quarter-final for the first time since the aforementioned tournament in their home soil in 1986. Raul Jimenez and Julian Quiñones will lead the attacking line once again, while 17-year-old Gilberto Mora starts in central midfield.
