Ole Werner's players weren't the only ones who worked their socks off during RB Leipzig's 3-1 win over 1.FC Union Berlin last night.

Last night, the Saxony-based club's chairman of the supervisory board, Oliver Mintzlaff, covered 21.41 kilometers during the game.

The 50-year-old was captured by television cameras watching the game whilst running on a treadmill directly behind the coach's bench.

His efforts produced a strong performance and a strong fundraising result, raising over €100,000 towards spinal cord research.

In addition to RB's managing directors Tatjana Haenni, Johann Plenge, Florian Hopp and Marcel Schäfer, other key names chipped in.

Jürgen Klopp, Florian Scholz and Mario Gomez as well as numerous business partners also donated per kilometer run by Mintzlaff.
