It probably takes a lot for Paige Spiranac to upset her huge fanbase, but she has issued an apology on social media after attending the US Open earlier this week and feeling like she let many of her followers down.

The popular golf influencer took in the quarterfinal match between No. 4 Coco Gauff and Mirra Andreeva and even snagged some of the latest viral food at the New York tennis tournament.
But she apparently made a major social media faux pas by not sharing a picture of the actual food.
“I’m so sorry that I didn’t take a picture of the chicken nuggets,” Spiranac said, referring to the viral COQODAQ “Golden Nuggets” and caviar by restaurateur Simon Kim.
“Everyone is yelling at me right now cause I only showed the box. I thought it was funny because it said golden set and I was like, ha ha.”
Why was Spiranac trying to be ‘sneaky’?
Spiranac also said she was trying to be “sneaky” with the photos that she did take and share, as other influencers have taken heat over their etiquette at the venue in Queens.

“Because there has been a lot of heat around influencers at the US Open, I was trying to be as sneaky as possible with my pictures,” she said.
“Hand up, my bad, I’m sorry. I let you guys down. I let myself down and I’ll be better next time.”
Spiranac, who was attending the event on behalf of La Roche-Posay — a French skincare brand owned by L’Oréal — also posed for photos on the steps of the lower bowl at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

At this year’s tournament, there reportedly are roughly 100 accredited content creators and influencers— almost double the 54 from last year.
Some have caused issues with play on the court, too, with a first-round match between Naomi Osaka and Anastasia Zakharova having to be temporarily halted by the umpire because of some rowdy influencers in a suite.
