Marcy Blum, a renowned celebrity event planner, recently shared some intriguing behind-the-scenes details about Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez's since-canceled wedding. Speaking on The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast, Blum revealed that Lopez had her sights set on Bruno Mars performing at their big day but was taken aback by the singer's hefty fee.

"We were working with J.Lo and A-Rod before they broke up, and they were going through a list of musicians, and she goes, 'What about Bruno Mars?'" Blum recounted. The Grammy-winning artist, known for his electrifying performances, charges a staggering $5 million to perform at weddings for 45 minutes to an hour. When Blum informed Lopez of the cost, the "Let's Get Loud" singer reportedly exclaimed, "'Don't be ridiculous!'"

Blum explained that she had previously worked with Mars on another wedding where he commanded the same fee, making it clear that his price tag wasn't negotiable. Despite the high-profile nature of Lopez and Rodriguez's planned nuptials, it seems even A-list celebrities can experience sticker shock.

Lopez and Rodriguez began dating in 2017 and got engaged in 2019. The couple had planned a lavish wedding in Italy for 2020, but like many events during that time, their plans were derailed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, the postponement was followed by their eventual breakup in 2021. Blum noted that she felt comfortable sharing these details because she never signed an NDA during her time working with the couple.
