Why Cardi B is giving Stefon Diggs ‘another shot’: report

Cardi B and Stefon Diggs have rekindled their romance.

The “WAP” rapper and the former New England Patriots player are “giving things another shot,” a source told Us Weekly.

“She is giving him a second chance but is not fully committing to him,” the insider shared.

The source told the outlet that Cardi, born Belcalis Almánzar, is “slowly letting” Diggs “back in.”

“They’ve been in closer contact lately. Things are no longer contentious,” the insider added.

“She still has love for Stefon, which makes it difficult to walk away.”

Page Six has reached out to Cardi’s rep for comment, but did not immediately hear back.

News of the Grammy winner and the athlete’s reconciliation comes days after they were spotted packing on the PDA at the Diggs Deep Foundation Mother’s Day wellness event on Saturday.

Per clips shared online, Diggs, 32, was seen kissing Cardi, 33, on the cheek while affectionately wrapping his arm around her waist.

The couple was also seen embracing at the event in Washington, DC.

The “Up” emcee and Diggs split before he and his teammates took on the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 2026 on Feb. 8.

After the game, eagle-eyed fans noticed that the couple unfollowed each other on Instagram.

A source told People that Cardi “pulled back” from her relationship with Stefon because she “couldn’t trust him.”

“Cardi is very no-nonsense. The second she felt that she couldn’t trust him, she pulled back to focus on her kids, her music and tour,” the insider told the outlet.

The former Houston Texans player and the Grow-Good Beauty founder share a son, who was born in November 2025.

Cardi also shares three kids — Kulture, 7, Wave, 4, and Blossom, 1 — with her estranged husband, Offset (born Kiara Cephus).

Diggs is also a dad to five other kids with five other women. Four of those kids were born in 2025.
