Yes, Jim Caviezel, the man who played Jesus with all the gravitas of a Hollywood heavyweight in The Passion of the Christ (2004), is set to return. Also, we learned from Italpress that Gibson is currently roaming the beautiful shores of Malta with a production team, scouting filming locations that will hopefully do justice to the sequel’s epic scale. Filming is expected to kick off as early as next year.
