Kelton_g has reportedly been banned from streaming platforms after footage showed him pushing an elderly Japanese man during an IRL broadcast in Fukuoka, Japan. The incident, which lit up X and Reddit like wildfire, has once again thrust foreign content creators in Japan under the moral microscope.

The streamer, who can be seen dressed as Luffy from One Piece, was livestreaming in a priority seating area when the altercation occurred. The clips rapidly garnered millions of views, sparking outrage across digital forums, with users and locals alike demanding his deportation and permanent ban from Japanese public transit.
But this isn’t an isolated case. The scandal adds another troubling chapter to Japan’s ongoing battle with foreign livestreamers who disrupt public order for digital clout. The country has already witnessed infamous incidents involving Johnny Somali, a now-convicted American streamer known for his harassment-based content.
He has been banned across multiple platforms and is currently facing charges in South Korea, with a court date scheduled for October 2025.
Kelton_g Responds to Assault Allegations, Says He Acted in Self-Defense

Kelton_g offered a response in a since-removed Instagram post (via Dexerto). While acknowledging that his behavior “was not the most correct,” he insisted the shove was an act of self-defense after repeated physical aggression by the older man.

I promise that it was with the purpose of defending myself against the constant intimidation that was against me.
He pointed out that both parties were at fault. According to Kelton_g, the elderly man acted poorly by being “rude” and “trying to hit [him] 3 times in a row”.
Both the other person and I acted badly, the gentleman for being rude to me and trying to hit me 3 times in a row and I for pushing him, I hope the context is clear and that I acted only in a defensive position and never to hurt anyone!
In the full video, the elderly man can reportedly be seen touching Kelton_g’s face multiple times, prompting what the latter claims was a necessary reaction. He even posted a cheerful follow-up: a selfie-style Instagram Story showing Japanese police smiling alongside him, captioned:
Fortunately, everything went well and the Japanese police understood that it was the other person who started the confrontation and I was just defending myself.
Still, Kelton_g’s accounts remain banned on both Twitch and Kick, with no timeline for reinstatement. No legal consequences have followed (at least for now).
Longer Video Clip Raises Questions About Kelton_g’s Japan Train Altercation

As the internet often does, it didn’t take long for full-context footage to surface. Extended clips posted to X and Reddit painted a slightly more nuanced picture. The elderly man appears to be the instigator, slapping Kelton_g’s chest and touching his face while seemingly chastising him for being loud.

— Callisto Roll (@callistoroll) September 22, 2025Rather than retaliate, Kelton_g initially responded with a disarming thumbs-up and asked:
It’s okay? Or no?
However, after being touched a third time, he appeared to lose patience and pushed the man twice. Let’s see what fans are saying:
Some random Japanese guys slaps me, I am going to do the same thing.
— Unicorn Panda (@unicornpanda801) September 23, 2025What context is that? Being fxxxxx rude and breaking the local regulations? The elderly man tried to stop him and he kept breaking the rules? Which nationality is he?
— Working_Man (@Working_Man5) September 22, 2025Much needed context. The old dude was unnecessarily aggressive. The guy should not have been talking on the train, but that doesn’t give unc the right to put hands on him multiple times, then call station staff and play the victim when he got what he deserved.
The problem I see in the comments is that everyone is blaming the streamer while making the old man look like a victim.
First of all, the streamer is a tourist. Second, he’s using a mic that makes his voice sound loud to us, but in reality, for people around him it’s just a…
he is an idiot that does not respect the culture or elderly.
— BossLibertarian (@BossLibertarian) September 22, 2025With Japanese authorities reportedly siding with him and no formal charges pressed, Kelton_g seems to have escaped legal trouble. So, where does this leave the streamer and the livestreaming culture in Japan? Was Kelton_g simply defending himself, or has another influencer mistaken provocation for performance?
