VfL Bochum 1848 and Colin Kleine-Bekel have extended their partnership by another year, the Ruhrpott side has announced.

The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at FC St. Gallen and scored one goal in 16 matches, has extended his contract with VfL until 2029.

For the upcoming 2026-27 season, the centre-half will again play on loan for the reigning Swiss runners-up and cup winners.

The former Dortmund U-19 vice-captain started his senior professional career with Holstein Kiel in the summer of 2022.

Kleine-Bekel worked his way into Kiel's first team and even achieved Bundesliga promotion before moving to Bochum in May 2025.
