Tori Spelling admits she’s ‘so lazy’ that she dresses son Beau, 7, in school clothes before bed

Tori Spelling is sharing her ultimate mommy hack for busy mornings.

The actress revealed on the latest episode of her “MisSPELLING” podcast that she dresses her 7-year-old son, Beau, in his school clothes the night before to help save some time.

“It’s so bad. I’ve gotten so lazy with my youngest one because there’s so many that at night I put him in his clothes for the next day,” Spelling said during her conversation with singer Debbie Gibson.

“It’s so bad. I’ve gotten so lazy with my youngest one because there’s so many [kids],” she explained on the Aug. 27 podcast episode. Misspelling Podcast

The “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum couldn’t help but laugh at herself, telling listeners that she has even “convinced” her son that “it’s cool” to do it.

“So, he has dinner, he takes his bath but then I’ll be like, ‘Hey, dude. It will save an extra five minutes if we get dressed now and then you can sleep later’ and I can sleep later, wink wink,” Spelling, 51, shared.

The actress then asked her podcast guest if she was a “bad mom,” to which Gibson reassured her that she’s simply “getting through it.”

Spelling clarified, however, that “it’s not every day” that she sends Beau to bed in his school clothes, only once in awhile.

Earlier this summer, Spelling took to Instagram to share a photo from Beau’s kindergarten graduation and expressed her excitement about her son starting first grade soon.

“Beau Beau is officially a 1st grader! Yesterday he had his end of the year Kindergarten party at school. So proud of this kid! My Baby. #kindergartenkutie,” she captioned the sweet snapshot.

Many of Spelling’s followers took to the comments section at the time to gush over the milestone moment.

“Congratulations little dude,” one admirer penned, while another added, “He’s adorable! Congrats Beau!”

Spelling shares Beau and her four other children – Liam, 17, Stella, 16, Hattie, 12, and Finn, 11 – with ex-husband Dean McDermott, whom she filed for divorce from in March.

At the time of the divorce filing, Spelling cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the breakup. They tied the knot in 2006 and announced their split in June 2023.

“I’m not gonna lie, there are moments where I’m like, ‘Should I have stayed?’” Spelling admitted on her podcast back in April. “What are the long-term ramifications on the children of staying in a marriage where they have a family, they’re in the same house, it’s all in tact, you move fluidly, but there’s so much unhappiness, so much anger?”

Months later, the exes now appear to be on good terms. McDermott, 57, even recently defended Spelling against online haters who asked why his ex would “like” an IG post featuring his new girlfriend, Lily Calo.

“It’s because she is a highly evolved and compassionate loving person, which is a lot more [than] I can say for the trolls commenting on this post,” he shot back at the time.
