They say: A skin barrier-boosting face cream from the South Korean skin care brand Aestura. Promising up to 120 hours of hydration, the formula features ceramides, a triple lipid complex and capsule technology for a time-release approach to skin moisture.

We say: This is a soothing cream for ultra dry skin. Our tester found the rich cream formed an instant cocoon of hydration on her skin. Areas of her sensitive skin that felt dry and itchy were immediately soothed. While it may prove too much for those with oily skin types, it’s a great pick for those struggling with dryness or discomfort.

They say: A three-in-one mineral sunscreen that features a light tint. The 100 per cent mineral sunscreen from the Canadian brand boasts broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection, as well as skin care ingredients such as black currant and a peony extract complex to address skin concerns, such as dark spots and brighten skin.

We say: Our tester applied this sunscreen daily and was pleased with the lotion-like consistency and the lack of a harsh white cast left on skin. The subtle tint gave skin a smoother tone with a subtle radiance. The non-greasy formula is a perfect one-and-done skin care pick for those who love the no-makeup makeup look with the added benefit of an SPF.

They say: An eye cream that promises to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and eye-area sagging in just one week. Formulated with a “MicroVitalizer Technology,” which includes caffeine and chai hu extract, the eye cream also includes a potent retinol technology called RetinolACE along with hyaluronic acid to target dryness and signs of aging.

We say: Our tester, a woman in her late 60s, tried this eye cream for one month. Using it daily, she found a little of the product went a long way to hydrate and cover the eye area. The included ball massager added a nice application experience. The cream wore comfortably throughout the day. With continued use, she noticed her eye area appeared smoother, firmer and more hydrated.
