When is the official Heated Rivalry fleece jacket being released?

Replicas of the fictional Team Canada fleece jacket worn by character Shane Hollander, played by B.C.’s own Hudson Williams, on the hit Crave show Heated Rivalry will be available for pre-order beginning June 3 at 9 a.m. Vancouver time, it was announced Wednesday.

The limited-edition jacket was featured in Season 1 of Heated Rivalry, during a scene in which star hockey player Shane Hollander visits Sochi, Russia, for the Winter Olympics.

The popularity of the fleece spawned countless tutorials online on how to recreate the jacket, as well as masses of fans rallying behind the #ReleaseTheFleece hashtag on social media. In the run-up to the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy, fans even petitioned the official Team Canada organization to offer the fleece as official merch.

All orders are final sale and there will be a limit to one jacket per customer.

How much will the official Heated Rivalry fleece jacket cost? Will net profits go to a good cause?

At the time of the pre-order announcement, no price point was given for the jacket. Pricing details will be released when the pre-order opens.

However, Accent Aigu Entertainment, the production company behind the breakout gay hockey romance, and Province of Canada shared that 10 per cent of net profits from jacket sales will support You Can Play, a non-profit that works to promote LGBTQ+ inclusion in sport.

“We chose You Can Play because their unwavering dedication to inclusivity mirrors the very heart of Heated Rivalry,” said Heated Rivalry creator Jacob Tierney in a joint statement with his Accent Aigu co-founder Brendan Brady.

As part of the pre-order launch, the National Hockey League and the National Hockey League Players’ Association have also committed to making a one-time donation of $25,000 each to You Can Play.
