Terry Crews reveals wife Rebecca has suffered 3 miscarriages: ‘We know what it’s like to lose a child’

Terry Crews revealed that his wife, Rebecca King-Crews, has suffered multiple miscarriages.

“Me and my wife, we know what it’s like to lose a child. We’ve had three miscarriages,” the “America’s Got Talent” host told People in an interview published Thursday.

Terry, 56, was reflecting on Sky Elements’ drone performance that depicted the story of losing a child on Wednesday’s episode of the NBC show.

“It’s one of those things where it was so meaningful and special because the dedication is just, it’s a way to process these things,” he continued of the emotional drone spectacle, which was choreographed to Lily Meola’s 2022 song, “Butterfly.”

Terry was blown away by the touching display, admitting that the show’s audience “needed it.”

“This is the perfect ‘AGT’ show today,” Terry said. “We balanced out everything. We had the laughs, we had the dedications, we had the fun, we had the dancing. It was just all over the place and it was perfect.”

The “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” alum shared that he has turned to music and his wife to cope with the heartbreak.

“I sit in a room and listen to music and it helps me process … all the things I’m feeling,” he said. “Then the other thing is I just talk to my wife. We talk it out. We have really, really nice long, deep conversation.

He continued, “Turn the TV off, turn the phone off and let’s just talk it through.”

The father of five added, “And it’s amazing what that does. You know what I mean? Definitely. It really, truly, you turn around an hour later you’re like, ‘Wow, I can handle anything.’ “

Rebecca, 58, was a single mom to her daughter, Naomi, now 36, when she started dating the former NFL player in 1987.

Terry married Rebecca in 1989 and subsequently adopted Naomi.

Together, Terry and Rebecca went on to welcome three daughters — Azriél, 33, Tera, 26, and Wynfrey, 21 — and a son named Isaiah, 19.

Terry previously discussed the joys of fatherhood in a 2022 Parade interview.

“We kind of wrap everything up in achievements, but the movies and all the things I’ve done? They’re not my legacy,” he said. “It’s really my son, and my daughters, and my family. That’s the legacy.”
