Teresa Giudice’s family is facing another difficult chapter after newly released police bodycam footage offered a fuller look at the airport confrontation involving her daughter, Milania Giudice.
The footage captures tense moments at Tampa International Airport as Teresa and her oldest daughter, Gia Giudice, tried to keep Milania calm while officers assisted the family.
The incident first appeared online as a chaotic family argument, but the newly released footage suggests a far more serious personal crisis was unfolding behind the scenes.
Teresa Giudice’s Airport Clash With Milania Looks Different On Bodycam
According to Page Six, the bodycam footage shows Milania yelling at Teresa and Gia while officers remained nearby.
At one point, Gia told her sister that police were trying to help the family take her to treatment, but Milania repeatedly tried to move away from them.
“This is not good for you,” Gia told her sister before Milania asked officers to “get away.” When Milania later asked whether she could vape inside the airport, officers told her she could not.
The situation escalated again when Teresa approached. Milania shouted, “Hurry up, Mom! Why don’t you run? Why don’t you run? You wanna cause a scene? You wanna cause a scene, Teresa!”
The footage also captured one officer telling another that Milania had recently left a Baker Act facility and that the family had hired a counselor. When another officer asked whether she was considered a danger to herself, the officer responded, “Yes,” and described the situation as “serious.”
Once the family entered an elevator, Teresa told Milania, “After you get help, you never have to speak to me again.” Teresa later repeatedly told her daughter, “I’m trying to save your life.”
During that exchange, Teresa made another startling claim. According to Page Six, Teresa told officers that Milania “has fentanyl in her system.” Milania immediately responded, “‘Cause I was laced.”
Milania later asked Teresa and Gia, “Do you wanna put me back in the psych ward?” while Gia called her sister
Police Officers Considered Separating Milania From Her Family
The bodycam also showed officers trying to manage the escalating tension.
After Milania went to the bathroom, one officer remarked that she had repeatedly become loud with Teresa, including while the family was traveling through the airport.
Once they reached the gate, an officer suggested that Milania might need some space from her relatives, arguing that “forcing them to be together is just fanning the flames.”
The police report later described Milania as experiencing a “mental breakdown” and “suicidal thoughts,” according to Page Six.
Those details offer considerably more context than the short video Milania posted to Instagram during the confrontation, which showed her filming Teresa and Gia while asking, “This is what we do now?”
Teresa urged her not to post the clip, while Gia, appearing exhausted by the situation, responded, “Mom, who cares?”“reckless.”
Teresa Giudice Breaks Silence On Her Daughter’s Pain
After the footage was released, Teresa publicly addressed what her family has been enduring.
In a statement reported by Page Six, the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star said the past several months had been “incredibly difficult” for her family and stressed that she wanted to protect Milania during a vulnerable period.
Teresa explained that her daughter had experienced significant emotional trauma after suffering multiple losses, including the death of her close friend Victoria Zardoya.
Milania is also grieving the recent death of her great-grandmother, compounding a period the family says has already been marked by profound loss and an unusual level of public scrutiny.
Teresa said her focus is ensuring that her daughter remains surrounded by love, family, support and appropriate care.
More From The Blast
- Milania Giudice was seen smiling after being handcuffed in newly released dashcam footage following her May arrest.
- Milania previously shared cryptic messages about judgment and her bond with Teresa after her legal trouble became public.
- Teresa said she hoped her family would “have each other’s backs” on RHONJ after years of feuding.
- Andy Cohen explained why he believed Teresa and Melissa Gorga’s reconciliation was finally real.
- Melissa Gorga later said her truce with Teresa made RHONJ feel “safe” again ahead of Season 15.
Milania Giudice Is Receiving Professional Support
MEGAThe family had already begun shifting attention away from the viral airport footage and toward Milania’s recovery before the full bodycam video surfaced.
As The Blast previously reported, Milania’s manager and longtime family friend, Maria DeSantis, confirmed that the 20-year-old is “under the care of professionals” working alongside her family.
DeSantis said the immediate priority is Milania’s health, healing and well-being.
The loss of Zardoya appears to be central to the difficult period Milania has been navigating. The Blast reported that her childhood friend died in July after suffering catastrophic injuries during a fall while exploring historic ruins at Fort Dade on Egmont Key, Florida.
Milania had described Zardoya as being like a sister, showing why her death reportedly affected her so deeply.
Milania’s father, Joe Giudice, has also publicly stood behind his daughter, saying she is going through a “very difficult period” and urging people not to judge her solely by isolated moments captured in public.
Gia’s behavior in the newly released footage reflected that same effort to help. Despite Milania repeatedly lashing out, her older sister continued trying to calm her and remind her that those around her wanted her to “get better.”
Milania’s Earlier Struggles Add Context To A Difficult Year
MEGAThe airport confrontation follows another challenging episode for the college student earlier this year.
As The Blast reported in June, Milania was arrested in New Jersey on a simple assault charge following a May incident. She later pleaded not guilty and publicly acknowledged that she had been struggling emotionally around that time.
“I was not in a good area in my life,” Milania said while discussing the arrest, before reminding followers that social media never tells the entire story.
Those comments carry added context now that more has become known about the grief and personal difficulties she has faced.
Teresa has spent years sharing her family life on television, but her latest response makes clear that she does not view this chapter as another reality-TV storyline.
For now, the Giudice family appears less interested in explaining every painful detail than in making sure Milania has the professional care, privacy and family support she needs while working toward recovery.
