Scott Wolf and Kelley Wolf are going ahead with their planned divorce, but the motive has changed.

The couple first announced their divorce in June 2025 after more than two decades together. The father of three filed a restraining order against his ex-wife on June 25, 2025.

Scott Wolf and Kelley Wolf’s latest joint statement says they spent months at home together focusing on “healing, rebuilding and finding stability.” They have now decided to move forward with their divorce while remaining committed to their children. Scott and Kelley share two sons and a daughter.

The former couple confirmed their marriage is still ending despite changes in their family. They said they had been home together as a family since early spring. They focused on “healing, rebuilding and finding stability.” The couple said their hearts are heavy but also filled with gratitude for their years together. 

The former couple said their children remain central to what comes next. They described themselves as moving into a new chapter “guided by love as co-parents.” Their statement also emphasized their shared commitment to creating the “best and brightest future” for their family. Scott and Kelley have three children: Jackson, 17; Miller, 13; and Lucy, 12.

The couple initially announced their separation after 21 years of marriage in June 2025. Three days later, Kelley was reportedly placed under an involuntary psychiatric hold in Utah following reports about her behavior. “The Party Of Five” alum later filed for a restraining order but withdrew the petition after they reached a temporary custody agreement.

Scott and Kelley’s legal troubles continued into the following months. PEOPLE revealed that Kelley was arrested in August on suspicion of electronic communication harassment and electronic disclosure of personally identifying information. After she was released, it was reported that she was admitted to a mental health facility in Utah on September 12, 2025. 

Kelley Opened Up About Her Mental Health Struggles

In mid-October 2025, sources confirmed Kelley left a Utah-area facility and transferred to another. On October 16, she shared a photo on Instagram that matched a Florida-area treatment center. “Grateful to be in the arms of Florida, finally,” she wrote alongside the post.

By February 2026, Kelley and Scott were spotted with their children at Universal Studios in Los Angeles. The family outing showed that the former couple had reached a different point after months of turmoil. “We are healing,” Scott said at the time.

In August, Kelley opened up about her mental health struggles on Instagram. She said she had been “completely delusional” for a time and spent the past year working with doctors, therapists, psychologists, and healers.

The 49-year-old mother said she later learned she had experienced “breakthrough drug-induced mania with psychosis,” which she attributed to stress, past trauma, hormonal shifts, and hallucinogens mixed with prescribed medications.

Kelley Wolf Takes Accountability For Her ‘Cruel’ Actions

Kelley took to Instagram on August 28 to apologize and explain what happened during the turbulent period. “I was not well, and I needed help,” she wrote. Kelley admitted she had been “completely delusional” and had no self-awareness at the time.

She described feeling like her brain had been hijacked while everything around her moved at the “speed of a freight train.” The Blast noted that Kelley also apologized directly to Scott for everything he experienced during their separation. The former certified life coach said what he went through “wouldn’t even fly in a movie script; it was so brutal.” 

She acknowledged that accusations of child endangerment and psychological abuse were “not based in truth or reality.” Looking back, Kelley said the “cruel,” “vicious,” and “mean” things she did made her “shudder.”

She also revealed that one of her delusions involved believing she was part of the CIA and running for president. Kelley acknowledged that her actions caused enormous pain and vowed to use her life differently, adding, “I owe you my life.”

The Couple Put Family Ahead Of Their Fight

By February 2026, the situation between Scott and Kelley had changed considerably. The Blast reported that the pair reunited with their three children for a family outing at Universal Studios in Los Angeles. Their appearance came months after their separation and the legal battles surrounding it.

The family was photographed together, smiling, during the February 20 outing. Scott captioned the family photo “Healing” and added five blue heart emojis.

The post received more than 1,000 comments from people reacting to the unexpected reunion. Some fans praised the family for coming together despite everything that had happened. Others described the reunion as a sign that healing was possible. “This is what true love looks like,” another fan wrote. 

The outing also came after Scott dropped his second restraining order against Kelley. The Blast noted that a protective-order violation case was later dismissed without prejudice as part of a global resolution. The family reunion showed that their relationship had moved away from the intense conflict surrounding their separation.

Kelley Wolf Got A Break In Court As Her Legal Troubles Ease

Kelley received a legal reprieve in July 2026 when Utah prosecutors moved to dismiss her electronic harassment case. Court documents showed prosecutors requested dismissal with prejudice after she completed a diversion agreement. The case involved electronic communication harassment and the disclosure of personally identifying information.

The charges stemmed from a social media post that allegedly included Scott’s phone number. The post reportedly led to unwanted calls and messages for the actor. It included the caption, “Let’s let dimples field his own press?”

The legal dispute was also tied to the couple’s complicated custody battle. Scott had temporary physical custody of their three children, while Kelley had supervised physical custody and limited phone and video calls.

The 58-year-old father also had exclusive possession of their Park City residence, with Kelley receiving supervised access. The court developments followed months of protective-order proceedings and disagreements involving the children.

Prosecutors and Kelley’s lawyers had been working toward a “global resolution” of the remaining issues. The dismissal marked another legal development as Scott and Kelley continued navigating their divorce and co-parenting arrangements, as shared by The Blast.
