It seems Sam Asghari is looking to start the new year by showing off his new girlfriend to the world.

The "Special Ops: Lioness" actor was previously married to Britney Spears after meeting on the set of her "Slumber Party" music video in 2016. The two became engaged in September 2021, only two months before her controversial 13-year conservatorship was struck down by a judge.

They tied the knot in June 2022, but it wasn't long before the former personal trainer filed for divorce in August 2023, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split.

Sam Asghari Has Moved On From Britney Spears... But Some Fans Clearly Aren't Over It!

Even though Sam Asghari seems to have moved on from his ex, Britney Spears, it seems that a lot of fans still aren’t over their relationship. In August 2023, the actor filed for divorce, which was settled in May 2024. As of December 2024, the two were declared legally single by the state of California.

The former personal trainer appears to have spent the holidays celebrating with his new girlfriend, real estate agent Brooke Irvine and made their relationship official in several photos that he shared of their new relationship on January 1 to bring in the new year.

Although the "Toxic" singer has turned off comments on her Instagram posts, Sam has never been shy about letting his followers speak their minds.

One User Warned Sam That 'Karma Exists'

On January 1, the “Hot Seat” actor shared five photos showcasing his new relationship with the blonde beauty. “Happy New Year to All,” he wrote in the caption. It’s clear that the relationship is supported by his sister, Maddie Asghari, who dropped two red heart emojis on the post.

However, not everyone was happy to see that he had moved on. “He only used Britney to get her money, so sad for this guy but don’t forget that karma exists,” one user wrote.

“I’m not even sure if it was money he was after. He wanted the publicity,” another netizen replied.

“Publicity over money… exactly,” a third user agreed.

Although not everyone was a fan of “The Traitors” reality star’s new relationship, there were some positive comments included in his post, including one that said that only “Momma Asghari” need approve of his new relationship.

Even though the "Oops!... I Did It Again" singer may not be in a relationship at the moment, she didn't spend the holidays by herself after her son, Jayden, came to live with her. In fact, she declared that this was the "best" Christmas of her life after spending time with her sons during the holidays.

Over Christmas, she shared a video of her standing in front of a fireplace with Jayden looking visibly emotional. At one point, she leans over and plants a smooch on the side of his face. "Best Christmas of my life !!! I haven’t seen my boys in 2 years !!! Tears of joy and literally in shock everyday koo koo crazy so in love and blessed !!! I’m speechless thank you Jesus !!!" she wrote in the caption.

Unlike her ex-husband, Britney has disabled comments on her Instagram posts to prevent negative comments.

Britney Gushes Over Her Son Jayden

As The Blast previously reported, Jayden has come to live with Britney in California to look for schools to study music after moving to Hawaii with Britney's ex-husband Kevin Federline last year. Only two days ago, the "Crossroads" actress took to Instagram to sing Jayden's praises and noted how he seems so much older than the last time they spent time together.

"Mine forever !!! It’s weird we’re like twins but he’s a boy and I’m a girl !!! He’s mine I hadn’t seen him in 2 and half years or maybe 3 !!! I’m in shock !!!
