Gen-Alpha influencer Salish Matter, 16, is so popular with her peers that when she appeared at the American Dream Mall in New Jersey in late 2025 to promote her skincare line Sincerely Yours, the crowds grew so big the police had to shut it down. (Around 80,000 fans showed up to see her.) Matter got her start on a family YouTube channel alongside her father, photographer Jordan Matter, when she was just 10 years old. She quickly became one of the most prominent “kidfluencers” of her generation. Her rise has drawn both admiration from fans and criticism from skeptics who question whether children should pursue social-media stardom. Like many young influencers before her, Matter has cultivated an audience that has grown up alongside her—and follows her lead, whether she's embracing a new trend or launching a product. Despite boasting nearly 5 million followers on Instagram, over 4 million on her personal YouTube, and 8 million on TikTok, she still comes across in her content like a relatable teen next door who loves gymnastics and hanging out with her foster dogs. In early 2026, the Matters teamed up with Netflix on a new father-daughter series, Salish & Jordan Matter.
