Rob Lowe did not hesitate when asked to identify the actress behind his best on-screen kiss. Despite sharing romantic scenes with a long list of Hollywood stars, the 62-year-old actor immediately chose Nastassja Kinski, his costar in the 1984 film “The Hotel New Hampshire.”

Rob Lowe Names Nastassja Kinski As His Best On-Screen Kiss
ZUMAPRESS.com / MEGALowe was asked about his romantic history in front of the camera during an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” on Sunday. While playing “Plead the Fifth,” host Andy Cohen challenged the actor to name his best on-screen kiss.
Cohen listed several of Lowe’s famous leading ladies, including Demi Moore, Rashida Jones, Kim Cattrall, Calista Flockhart and Meg Tilly. However, Lowe did not need much time to consider his answer. He immediately selected actress and model Nastassja Kinski.
When Cohen asked him to explain the choice, Lowe offered a blunt response. “Have a look at her,” he said.
He then elaborated on the impact Kinski had on him when they worked together during the 1980s. “At that moment in time, she was probably the most beautiful woman I’d certainly ever seen,” Lowe added.
The actor admitted that Kinski’s beauty made their romantic scene more intimidating than exciting at first. “I was, like, very, very scared,” he recalled.
Lowe and Kinski costarred in “The Hotel New Hampshire,” a comedy-drama directed by Tony Richardson and adapted from John Irving’s 1981 novel of the same name.

Rob Lowe Announces A Netflix Documentary About His Life
Xavier Collin/Image Press Agency / MEGA Fans will soon get a much deeper look at Lowe’s personal and professional journey. During the same “Watch What Happens Live” appearance, the Golden Globe-winning and Emmy-nominated actor announced that Netflix is developing a documentary about his life.
Lowe revealed that the project has been “three years in the making” and “it will be out around Thanksgiving.” The documentary is expected to explore a career that began when Lowe was young and carried him through the height of the Brat Pack era.
He rose to fame through movies such as “The Outsiders” and “St. Elmo’s Fire” before establishing himself as a television star through projects including “The West Wing” and “Parks and Recreation.” Although Lowe has been involved in the documentary process, he said he did not demand complete control over the finished product.
When Cohen asked whether he held final approval over the project, Lowe explained that the filmmakers were willing to hear his thoughts but ultimately retained control of the edit. “I’ve seen cuts of it because they’re nice enough to share it with me. They’re interested in my thoughts, but at the end of the day, you don’t want to do your own thing,” Lowe said.
The Documentary Promises ‘The Good, The Bad And The Ugly’
Steven Bergman/AFF-USA.COM / MEGA Lowe suggested the Netflix project won’t shy away from the more difficult or embarrassing chapters of his past. “It’s warts and all. The good, the bad and the ugly, and I think people are going to like it,” he said.
One embarrassing chapter that could potentially appear in the documentary is Lowe’s performance at the 1989 Academy Awards. The actor participated in a widely criticized musical opening with Snow White during the 61st Oscars. Lowe has since described the segment as “the worst opening ever.”
More than three decades after the musical number, Lowe still finds humor in the criticism surrounding it.
