Release clause set for Leipzig-linked coach Demichelis

Since taking over at RCD Mallorca, the 45-year-old has picked up five wins, three draws and four defeats in 12 La Liga outings.

Sky Germany's sources understand that Martin Demichelis' release clause is reported to be fixed at around €2.5million.

The news of this pricetag comes as a talking point given the Argentine has been linked with the role of RB Leipzig head coach.

However, the pay-TV channel notes that a potential deal is not finalized and an overall deal is not that far progressed yet.

Futhermore, thee clause has not been activated, but Demichelis is still Leipzig's top candidate should Ole Werner be dismissed.

Werner's position – despite only one full season in charge of the Saxony club – is precarious and under scrutiny from the Red Bull chiefs. 

Ultimately, the 38-year-old has not yet been released, although a decision is expected soon with negotiations currently ongoing.
