Prince Harry’s solo arrival in the United Kingdom has cast fresh doubt on a possible royal family reunion involving Queen Camilla and King Charles.

The Queen Consort was said to have been willing to set aside years of tension with Harry if it meant seeing Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet again.

Any such reunion would have marked a major shift, given Harry’s blistering comments about his stepmother in his memoir, “Spare,” and earlier speculation that Camilla had little interest in meeting the Sussexes face-to-face.

Camilla Reportedly Wants To See Prince Harry’s Kids

A royal expert recently claimed that Harry, Meghan, and their kids could meet with Camilla if they all came to the UK.

“I’m told that the Queen is also very willing to meet them,” Katie Nicholl shared with “The Royals Uncensored.”

“I was speaking to a source close to her this week, wondering if she might not be present because of the frankly horrific things Harry has said about Camilla in Spare,” she added. “But no, if this meeting goes ahead, she wants to be there.”

As for why, her desire to spend time with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet appears to be the primary reason.

“She wants to see those step-grandchildren, and she’s so in lock step with the King,” the source also noted about Camilla. However, with Harry now in the UK without Meghan and the children, the reunion Camilla was reportedly willing to attend appears far less certain.

Harry’s Words About Camilla Remain A Hurdle

Camilla’s reported openness to a meeting is particularly notable because Harry’s relationship with his stepmother has been badly strained since the release of his 2023 memoir, “Spare.”

In one section, he wrote that he viewed Camilla as a “villain” because she needed to rehabilitate her public image after the breakdown of Charles’ marriage to his mother, Princess Diana.

Harry also labeled her “dangerous,” claiming her alleged willingness to share information with the media in pursuit of better publicity created divisions within the Royal Family.

“I had complex feelings about gaining a step-parent who, I believed, had recently sacrificed me on her personal PR altar. In a funny way I even wanted Camilla to be happy. Maybe she’d be less dangerous if she was happy,” Harry wrote in the memoir.

Prince Harry’s UK Security Fight Still Looms

Despite Camilla’s reported willingness to meet with Harry, Meghan, and the children, the prince’s security concerns have already complicated those plans.

Harry has since arrived in the UK alone, with Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet remaining away amid the ongoing dispute over the family’s security arrangements.

The issue has influenced Harry’s visits for years. The Sussexes lost their automatic, state-funded police protection after stepping back from their senior royal duties in 2020, and Harry has repeatedly argued that the lack of police protection makes it difficult to bring his family to the UK.

As such, the reported Camilla reunion now appears uncertain unless Meghan and the children join Harry later in the trip.

The Sussex Kids Have Not Returned Since 2022

The Sussex children’s possible return to the UK would have come four years after their last known visit with the royal family.

Harry and Meghan brought Archie and Lilibet for Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June 2022. The Duke later recalled the private family moment in his memoir, “Spare,” writing that the late Queen described Archie and Lilibet as the “sweetest children.”

PEOPLE noted that the Jubilee visit was Lilibet’s first and only meeting with Queen Elizabeth before the monarch died in September 2022.

That history lends more weight to the current talk of a reunion. Camilla’s reported willingness to attend would not just mark a possible thaw with Harry, it would also speak to the children’s limited contact with the wider royal family in recent years.

Regardless of the family uncertainty, Harry has already begun his UK visit as part of his efforts to support the Invictus Games, which will be held in Birmingham in 2027.

The Duke made his first official appearance of the trip in London at an Invictus Games Foundation event, keeping the focus on the tournament’s return to the UK.

Harry is also expected to continue engagements linked to Birmingham, including the National Exhibition Centre, which will serve as the venue for the Invictus Games.

While his solo arrival has complicated any immediate reunion, Harry’s continued involvement in UK-based work means the door to future family contact is not entirely closed.
