Premier League giant to rival Bayern Munich for Newcastle's Gordon

The Blues have supposedly added themselves to the list of potential suitors for the 25-year-old forward.

According to a report from Chelsea insider Simon Phillips, the Blues have joined the battle for Anthony Gordon’s signature.

While the report details that Gordon’s agents and Bayern Munich have already held initial talks, other clubs are on their radar too. 

The Newcastle star's his entourage is currently on a “European tour”, holding talks with several top clubs, including Chelsea and Barcelona.

However, it must be noted that a recent report from Fabrizio Romano emphasised that the Catalans have pulls out of the race. 

Regardless, Chelsea's interest spices things up and could potentially make negotiations with Newcastle that bit trickier for the Bavarians.

However, with Kompany’s strong interest and the player’s desire to play for Bayern, the Bundesliga side seems to hold the upper hand. 

Furthermore, Newcastle might not be thrilled at the prospect of their key player joining a Premier League rival chasing European places.
