Ottawa Police say they received multiple calls for gunshots in the area of Percy Street and Clemow Avenue the morning of New Year's Eve

Ottawa police say nobody was injured and there’s no threat to public safety after reports of gunshots in the Glebe on the morning of New Year’s Eve.

Police say they received multiple calls for gunshots in the area of Percy Street and Clemow Avenue at about 8:20 a.m.

Police attended, at this time, no victim(s) have been identified nor have any attended Ottawa-area hospitals. If anyone is aware of someone injured, please call 911,” the police force said on social media. 

“If you have information about this incident and have not yet spoken to police, please contact the Guns and Gangs Unit at 613-236-1222 extension 5050.”
