OPP stop on Hwy 417 yields $28,000 in cash and suspected drugs

A complaint concerning a possibly impaired driver on Highway 417 Saturday night led provincial police to the seizure of drugs and cash.

Officers from the Ottawa OPP detachment pulled the driver over in the Moodie Avenue area for a roadside screening. The driver was taken to the OPP detachment for further testing.

During the stop, police seized over $28,000 in cash and a quantity of suspected drug tablets.

The investigation is continuing.
