The Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a shooting incident in the Vankleek Hill area.

Police responded to a residence on Highway 34, near Main Street West, at about 1:30 a.m. on reports that multiple shots had been fired at parked vehicles.

The person or persons fled westbound in a back or dark vehicle on County Road 10.

There were no injuries reported and investigators believe it was a targeted incident, with no imminent risk to public safety.

Hawkesbury OPP officers are continuing the investigation with assistance from the OPP forensic identification services unit.
