wednesday season 2

SUMMARY

  • Netflix recently uploaded a teaser trailer for Wednesday Season 2 which is expected to come out in 2025.
  • Fans couldn't help but gush over Pugsley Addams actor Isaac Ordonez's growth spurt.
  • There are quite a few storylines that could be touched upon during Season 2 of the series, including the future of Nevermore Academy.

Netflix’s hit series, Wednesday starring Jenna Ortega took the world by storm. Not too long after the series came out, it quickly climbed the rankings to become the platform’s third-most-watched show ever, just below Stranger Things and Squid Game

Recently, Netflix shared an update on Wednesday Season 2 and Stranger Things Season 5. It has been two years since Wednesday came out, and it’s already the third most-watched series despite having one season out. So there’s some stiff competition between the two franchises.

However, it seems like Netflix is currently filming the upcoming seasons for both shows. But when it comes to Wednesday, fans caught onto one major change on the show.

Fans are shocked by Pugsley actor Isaac Ordonez’s insane growth spurt

At the start of the show, Isaac Ordonez, who acted as Pugsley Addams on Wednesday had just become a teenager. Born on April 15, 2009, Ordonez is currently aged 15 years old.

In the short trailer that Netflix recently released, fans couldn’t help but notice that Ordonez is almost taller than the entire his on-screen family, except for George Burcea, who plays the role of the Addams’ butler Lurch.

Many fans found it hard to digest that Ordonez is especially taller than Jenna Ortega, who is currently 21 years old. Here’s what fans have had to say on X,

But in all honesty, everybody on set probably knew that Ordonez was bound to hit a growth spurt at some point in the show. Interestingly, this might also help pave the way for writers to unleash their creativity as well.

For now, we don’t know what Wednesday Season 2 has in store for us. But there are a couple of theories that could potentially come into play.

When will Wednesday Season 2 be released?

The trailer that Netflix uploaded on their official social media account is the only latest update on Wednesday Season 2. Unfortunately, the release date hasn’t been released for it yet.

However, we have a glimpse of what the plot could revolve around in Season 2. Having exposed Nevermore Academy’s chilling past, the plot of Season 2 could be focused on the future of the boarding school.

Wednesday has also developed a significant bond with Enid Sinclair (Emma Meyers), and Xavier Thorpe, who was initially portrayed by Percy Hynes White. However, White will no longer be part of the cast.

Season 2 could shed some more light on Wednesday’s relationship with both of those characters. Additionally, they could also focus on the Addams’ involvement in exposing Nevermore Academy.

The possibilities with such shows are endless, especially with how open-ended Season 1 ended. The trailer that Netflix released ended with Wednesday Addams saying,

If I showed you any more, your eyes would bleed. I’m not that generous.

Now, this could have been a sarcastic comment simply added to the trailer for kicks. But this could be a dialogue suggesting that something serious is about to unfold in the upcoming season.

Wednesday can be streamed on Netflix.
