Two men were shot on a rural road in Langley Saturday night.

One man reportedly died at the scene in the 19700-block of 84th Avenue. The other — a prominent Brothers Keepers gangster — drove off and was found with gunshot wounds on 208th Street, south of 80 Avenue.

He is expected to recover.

Officers in Integrated Homicide Investigation Team jackets were at 84th Avenue, although there was no IHIT statement as of late Saturday.

The wounded man was taken to hospital. The Volkswagen SUV he was driving appeared to have a broken passenger side front window.

The SUV was towed away after RCMP officers removed several exhibits from it.

The shooting may be the latest in the B.C.-wide gang conflict which has raged for years.
