Nikki Garcia Wants Out Of Artem Chigvintsev's Marriage
The retired wrestler reportedly raced to court in the early hours of today to submit her filing and put an end to the marriage.
The move comes a week after word got out that she was looking for a divorce attorney a day after Chigvintsev's arrest. She finally found solace in Evan Craig Itzkowitz, who will now take up her cause.
The estranged couple were together for two years and shared a 4-year-old son, Matteo. It is still unclear if they had a prenup in place when they tied the knot.
Garcia's filing does not come as a surprise, as TMZ earlier reported that the mom-of-one ditched her wedding ring shortly after her estranged partner's arrest.

Inside Garcia And Chigvintsev's Heated Exchange
The 42-year-old was taken in following a 911 request for medical assistance for an alleged victim. The Blast detailed that Chigvintsev claimed he got into an argument with his wife, and she threw shoes at him.
According to information from a radio dispatch audio, Chigvintsev called and abruptly canceled his emergency service request. However, the police still showed up at the residence and confirmed a child was on the scene.
Local authorities claimed they discovered obvious injuries on the victim's body and then arrested the "DWTS" pro dancer for the felony. He posed for a viral mug shot during his arrest but was released on bail later.
