During the Cardinals’ loss at the New York Giants, McBride was coming off the field during the fourth quarter when a sideline camera showed line judge Jeff Seeman appearing to use profanity toward McBride.
An NFL spokesman told NBC News the league was reviewing the matter.

“This kind of behavior from an official towards a player is unacceptable,” JC Tretter, the executive director of the NFL Players Association, wrote on X. “Players are consistently held accountable when the roles are reversed. We expect the NFL to hold officials to the same standard.”
Seeman has worked as an NFL official since 2002.
An NFL spokesperson did not return a request for comment by NBC News about whether the league has specific rules governing officials’ conduct toward players. Under league rules, it is considered unsportsmanlike conduct if players use “abusive, threatening, or insulting language or gestures to opponents, teammates, officials, or representatives of the League.”
