The greatest playoff performer in Toronto Raptors history is almost officially back in the fold. The stunning trade between the Raptors and Los Angeles Clippers to return Kawhi Leonard to Toronto first agreed to on July 30 but paused while the NBA investigated Los Angeles for salary cap circumvention, was signed off on Monday by both sides with only an official trade call to follow, ESPN first reported.

Video shows York cop tackling motorcyclist accused of fleeing crash

A motorcyclist who allegedly fled the scene of a crash in Richmond Hill was taken down by a cop in a move worthy of the NFL. Video of the officer sneaking up behind the stopped motorist to tackle him off his bike was posted by York Regional Police on its social media account on Monday, garnering more than 7,000 likes in the first two hours since it was shared on Instagram.

LILLEY: Mark Carney needs to come clean on what he’d surrender to join European Union

Mark Carney needs to be honest with Canadians about what pieces of Canadian sovereignty he’s willing to give up to achieve his “unique alliance” with the European Union. On Sunday, Carney told CBC that unlike what the Wall Street Journal had earlier reported, he wasn’t looking to make Canada an “associate member” of the EU. Instead, he said he was looking for a “unique alliance” with the trading bloc.
