Restaurant operator Foodtastic has signed a master franchising agreement with Inspire Brands to open hundreds of Dunkin’ locations across Canada. The first Dunkin’ location is expected to open in late 2026 or early 2027 and will feature a wide range of hot and iced coffees, espresso beverages, teas, donuts, sandwiches and snacks.

Slain nurse was sexually assaulted, beaten in recorded torture session: Cops

An Illinois nurse and mother was allegedly sexually assaulted, beaten and strangled to death by her ex-boyfriend in an hours-long violent attack that was recorded. The body of Katherine “Kat” Torbick, 43, was discovered by cops in her home on April 30 after a wellness check. The woman’s ex-boyfriend, Kevin Motykie, 56, was arrested and is facing charges of first-degree murder and aggravated sexual assault.

WARMINGTON: Eating at McDonald’s should not mean ducking gunshots

Calling it a “firearm discharge,” Toronto Police say at 9:45 p.m. Monday, gunmen outside shot at a building housing a popular McDonald’s franchise at Eglinton Ave. E. and McCowan Rd. 680 News reporter Carl Hantske posted a video to X that not only showed at least four gunshot holes in the windows but the seats at tables right in the path of where those bullets would have travelled.
