Newly released emergency dispatch audio has revealed the disturbing circumstances surrounding Kim Scott’s weekend hospitalization.
Eminem’s former wife was reportedly found bleeding and later became unconscious before emergency crews arrived at her Michigan home.
The incident marks another painful chapter for Scott, whose life outside the spotlight has included previous suicide attempts, addiction struggles, legal trouble, and a famously turbulent relationship with the rapper.
Kim Scott Emergency Audio Captures Frantic Call For Help
Kim Scott was rushed to McLaren Macomb Hospital on Saturday after emergency responders received a call reporting severe and uncontrolled bleeding at her Chesterfield Township home.
In dispatch audio obtained by TMZ, an emergency operator alerted first responders that a caller’s aunt had injured herself and was bleeding.
“Caller says aunt cut her wrist and she’s bleeding,” the dispatcher said.
The audio then identified the patient using Scott’s former married name.
“She’s currently sitting on the couch listening to music. The knife is in her hand, and she will not give it to the caller. Kim Mathers,” the dispatcher continued. “She’s unconscious now. The caller was able to remove it.”
A Chesterfield Fire and EMS report described the emergency as involving a “hemorrhage” or “laceration” that caused heavy bleeding.
Scott was placed on a gurney and taken by ambulance to the hospital. Her present medical condition has not been publicly disclosed.
Scott Has Survived Previous Suicide Attempts
PR / http: / www.wenn.com / MEGASaturday’s emergency was not Kim Scott’s first publicly reported suicide attempt.
In July 2000, a representative for Eminem’s record label confirmed that Scott had attempted suicide at the couple’s suburban Detroit home. The incident occurred during one of the most volatile periods of their marriage, as Eminem’s growing fame and intensely personal music placed their relationship under relentless public scrutiny.
Scott later revealed that an October 2015 car crash was also intentional. After consuming alcohol and pills, she drove her Cadillac Escalade into a utility pole on a road she selected because she believed no one else would be injured.
“I sat at the end of a road where I knew that no one else but myself would get hurt,” she recalled in a 2016 radio interview. “Yes, I drank, I took pills and I hit the gas and aimed for a pole.”
She pleaded no contest in the resulting drunken-driving case and was later sentenced to one year of probation, regular drug testing, continued treatment, and fines.
Scott was hospitalized again following another reported suicide attempt in July 2021, shortly after the death of her mother, Kathleen Sluck. Emergency audio released afterward captured a caller seeking help as authorities responded to Scott’s Michigan residence.
Kim Scott’s Recent Legal Troubles Added New Concern
The latest health crisis follows several difficult months for Scott.
In February 2026, she was accused of crashing her vehicle into a parked truck, pushing it approximately 50 feet, before leaving the scene and later striking her garage.
Police alleged that she was impaired, and she subsequently pleaded no contest to operating while impaired and failing to stop after a collision.
Days after entering that plea in May, Scott was arrested in a separate DUI case after allegedly striking another parked vehicle. Police said she showed signs of intoxication and recorded a blood-alcohol level above Michigan’s legal limit.
A judge later issued a $10,000 bench warrant after she failed to appear for a June sentencing hearing connected to the February crash.
The warrant was subsequently addressed, but the sequence of arrests and missed proceedings returned Scott’s private struggles to public attention.
Eminem And Scott’s Relationship Spanned Nearly Two Decades
WENN / http: / www.wenn.com / MEGAKim Scott and Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, first met as teenagers in Michigan in 1988.
The pair began an on-and-off relationship after Scott and her twin sister, Dawn, left home as teenagers. Eminem’s mother temporarily allowed Scott to live with the family, beginning a relationship that would later inspire some of the rapper’s most personal and controversial music.
They welcomed their daughter, Hailie Jade, in December 1995 and married for the first time in June 1999. Their relationship rapidly deteriorated amid infidelity accusations, public arguments, Eminem’s touring schedule, and legal clashes.
Their first divorce was finalized in 2001. However, their shared family responsibilities kept them connected, and they reconciled before marrying again in January 2006.
The second marriage lasted less than three months before Eminem filed for divorce. Their split was finalized later that year, although Scott’s attorney said their long history meant they would remain connected as friends, former spouses, and parents.
Kim Scott And Eminem Remained Connected Through Their Children
WENN / http: / www.wenn.com / MEGADespite the turmoil surrounding their marriages, Scott and Eminem built a blended family centered on their children.
They share Hailie, while Eminem also adopted Scott’s daughter Stevie, whom she welcomed during the years between their marriages. The rapper additionally adopted Alaina, the daughter of Scott’s late twin sister, as Dawn struggled with substance abuse.
Scott has generally remained outside the public spotlight since her final divorce from Eminem. Reports in recent years suggested the former couple had reached a more peaceful relationship focused on their children, even after years in which their private conflict became inseparable from Eminem’s music and celebrity image.
Saturday’s emergency has again placed Scott’s most personal struggles before the public. For now, however, the most important unanswered question is her recovery, as neither her family nor Eminem has publicly addressed her condition following the hospital rush.
