Taylor, who goes by @craveslim on social media, opened up in a TikTok video about the now-viral picture showing her five-year-old son, Tru, sitting with his father, stepmother and their two children wearing different sleepwear than the other four.

The mother and nursing student recounted how shocked she was at seeing the professional portraits on Facebook.

One photo shows Tru’s dad, stepmom and their kids wearing festive green PJs while Tru sat in the middle in a black set of sleepwear, with the words “Christmas Crew” on the shirt.

“I sent those from home,” Taylor said of her son’s pyjamas in the video.

“They are something to sleep in, not take professional photos in,” she continued. “My son could have [at] least got a fresh new set of pyjamas.”

The photos have since gone viral, amassing more than 62 million views on a social media post.

Taylor noted in the beginning of her TikTok that she and her ex have an arrangement where Tru spends every other weekend with his dad, but she agreed to let him look after the boy on one of her weekends.

“Dad never told me anything about these pictures,” she insisted.

In a second TikTok video, she explained that her problem with the situation was that her son’s outfit in the photo didn’t match what everyone else was wearing.

“Dad was already not supposed to have my kid. My kid was never supposed to be there. Therefore, my kid was never part of the plan,” Taylor said. “I feel like dad should have just left my son at home with me, and all of this would have been avoided.”

Tru’s mom added that she doesn’t blame her son’s stepmother.

“I never pointed a finger at her, but once my post started getting a lot of views and stuff, that’s when she made her post, and she felt like I was attacking her, but I never attacked her,” she insisted.

“The internet blamed her. Let’s just get that straight,” Taylor said, adding that she “always blamed dad.”

Riya Lee, the stepmother, shared the family photos on Facebook on Dec. 25 and was promptly accused of excluding Tru.

However, she denied those allegations in another post, saying she “very much didn’t leave him out” of the family photo.

Lee claimed the boy’s father “couldn’t find” any matching pyjamas for the boy in time for the shoot, adding while she was not comfortable with Tru’s attire, “it was too late because our shoot was literally mins away.”
