Nadiem Amiri reportedly agrees personal terms with RB Leipzig

The 29-year-old Mainz talisman produced 17 goals and 4 assists in 35 competitive games last campaign.

According to Sport BILD, RB Leipzig has secured the commitments of another Bundesliga star in Nadiem Amiri.

However, similar to their situation with Fisnik Asllani of TSG Hoffenheim, there are a few things to do before a deal is finalised.

The Saxony-based club has basically agreed with the midfielder, and talks with Mainz are also very advanced, but the deal has stalled.

The issue here isn't competition for that specific position, but rather the overall size of coach Martin Demichelis' squad.

Before Amiri arrives, the club wants to make some departures – players like 26-year-old Eljif Elmas are on the chopping block.

It's a similar story for Asllani given both Rômulo and Conrad Harder are already vying for the sole striker position, so one may have to go.
