After missing Bayern Munich’s first three competitive games of the 2026/27 season, Jamal Musiala is set to return to the squad for Saturday’s Bundesliga clash with Schalke 04, according to Sky Germany.
Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany said at his press conference on Friday that a decision on the Germany international’s availability would be made following the team’s final training session ahead of the game.
That decision has now seemingly been made, with Musiala in line to make his first squad appearance since suffering a collapse during Bayern’s pre-season friendly win over 1. FC Heidenheim.
The incident came after Musiala had also collapsed during Bayern’s previous Telekom Cup fixture against RB Leipzig. He later explained that he had been “diagnosed with brief, temporary but easily treatable episodes of absence, which are caused by a neurological dysfunction.”
Bayern have since taken a cautious approach to Musiala’s recovery, gradually reintegrating him into team training. He now appears ready to take the next step forward by returning to the squad to face Schalke.
