Bayer 04 Leverkusen have extended youngster Montrell Culbreath's contract once again – this time on a long-term basis.
Having only signed a deal with the Bundesliga club until 30 June 2030 in January, he has penned a new contract valid until 30 June 2031.
The former U-19 player, as attacking midfielder, earned the contract after he established himself in the first-team squad last season.
Culbreath joined the Werkself academy in 2023 and made 16 first-team appearances in all competitions last campaign, scoring one goal.
"The renewed extension of the contract is a clear sign of our satisfaction with Montrell," said Bayer managing director Simon Rolfes.
“We are delighted that he's made the step up to first-team level and seized his chance with energy," he added.
Kim Falkenberg, director of football described Culbreath as “an ideal example of our talented young players, who are determined to fulfil their professional dream."
