MLB star Bryce Harper goes viral over bizarre toothbrushing method

Philadelphia Phillies slugger posted TikTok video of his hygiene routine and put a tube of toothpaste directly in his mouth.

Phillies all-star slugger Bryce Harper has been known for documenting some of his weird quirks off the field, but this one will be hard for fans to brush off.

While the team is on the road in San Diego to take on the Padres, Harper shared a video on TikTok of himself getting ready in the hotel bathroom where the team is staying.

But one part of Harper’s routine caught fans very much off guard.

When the time came for the eight-time all-star to brush his teeth, he did it in a way that many had never even considered before.

While there usually are two ways to apply the toothpaste to your brush – either before or after wetting the brush in the sink — Harper opted to wet his toothbrush, then squeeze the toothpaste tube directly into his mouth.

Fans on social media were left aghast by the bizarre move.

“Bryce Harper deserves jail time for how he applies his toothpaste,” one user wrote on X.

“Whatever you are picturing before watching the video it’s worse. Had no idea this was even an option people did,” another shocked follower posted.

“Bryce Harper with the most abominable toothpaste application I’ve ever seen,” a third person wrote.

What else has Harper done on social media?

In the clip posted on Monday, Harper also utilized a tongue scraper, which he described as “the grossest thing ever.”

“But I love it. If you have a chance, you should buy one,” Harper added.

Back in 2018, while he was still a member of the Washington Nationals, Harper’s brother Bryan posted a video on social media of the star’s hair routine.

Bryce was seen using two hairdryers at the same time to maintain his coif before noticing Bryan was filming.

Harper also routinely shares clips of himself sampling new foods and drinks on his TikTok feed, which boasts more than 646,000 followers.

On the field, Harper has been having a solid season — his 15th in the Majors.

Through 54 games for the Phillies, Harper is batting .269 with 12 home runs and 32 RBIs.
