Meghan Markle felt as a child that she was destined for greatness: I will be rich and famous

Meghan Markle made sure she set herself lofty goals as a child by revealing how she dreamed of becoming a "rich and famous", something she managed to accomplish by starring in USA Network's Suits at the age of 30.

Portraying the paralegal-turned-lawyer, Rachel Zane, the now-43-year-old was one of the central characters in the show from 2011-2017 and was known for her sharp wit, impressive mind and soft emotional side as the girlfriend of Patrick Adams' Mike Ross.

Earning $46,500 per episode and $418,000 per year, she reached her goal just nine years after her first credited appearance in General Hospital. But she didn't stop there, quickly moving on to unprecedent levels of stardom.

In 2016 she began dating Queen Elizabeth II's grandson, Prince Harry. She chose to give up her role and career on the screen and the pair married in 2018, and since then she has only managed to accumulate wealth and fame.

Markle honors her promise

Now with a net worth reportedly in the region of around $60 million dollars and a regular fixture in the newspapers, she received a score of 100 by Google Trends in 2018 meaning she was at her peak popularity.

And now a clip in her Netflix docuseries sees her come true on a promise she made to her school all the way back when she was a little girl, as she vowed to talk about the Immaculate Heart secondary school based in Los Angeles.

"When I am rich and famous and I write my life story, I will talk about you and the school so you will be known worldwide," Markle recalled in a letter she wrote at the age of 11 in Netflix's Harry & Meghan, which released in 2022.

Markle had a talent for stage production even from a young age, starring in Oedipus Rex, and despite facing what she said was "intense jealously", for the sold-out production later vowed to become an actress, according to Tom Bower who authored Revenge.
